Who we are

At Fishers Of Men, we are a passionate group of fishermen united by a common goal: to give every sportsman a chance to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. For over 4 years, we've been dedicated to providing a safe haven, discipleship, and family fun for outdoor sports-minded families through fishing.

What we do

We operate a ministry of fishermen that teach a daily walk with Christ through fishing. Beyond fishing, we offer a once-a-month meeting with a devotion, meal, discussion on fishing know-how, and fun projects. Every effort is made to reach the families and communities we live in with the life-saving gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Story

I started Fishers Of Men with a vision of fellowship and worship. More than 25 years after giving my life to Christ, I wanted to share the Good News of Jesus with others. With a love of fishing and the outdoors, the thought was to create an environment to enjoy those things with brothers who share that same love of Christ. And so it began in August of 2022 simply as a fishing outing of church friends going to stay on the river and fish. We would stay in tents and sleeping bags, fish on the river, and eat some awesome meals. It was amazing to see these men let down their guards and reveal their love for Christ throughout the weekend. This is where the fire was lit!! The focus of Fishers Of Men started to change from that point on.

Everett Arnett

My name is Everett Arnett. I was married to Rita in 1972 and we have 4 wonderful children. God created me with a great love for the outdoors and the patience of a hunter and fisherman. As I have grown in my commitment to be a follower of Jesus, God has given me new outlets for my passion. I love spending time with people, usually one-on-one or in small groups. I love to tell stories and pursue new adventures that help people get to know Jesus. I still love to catch fish whenever I have the opportunity, but as I follow Jesus, he has called me to be a fisher of men. "And he said to them, 'Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.'"
